Point your domain to your new store
Point your new domain to your Shopify store. Shopify does supply instructions on how to do this.
Finding a theme
Shopify usually installed the Debut theme as default but you can browse the store for others, both paid and free. There are also places like www.themeforest.net
Add all your products, descriptions, photographs and most importunely prices. Have a think about collection (categories) names before you start. Will you have stock levels or unlimited stock (digital product for example).
Shipping is one of the hardest to get right. Do you offer free shipping, who are you going to use for your shipping. Shopify lets you do a fixed price or you can do it on order value (£) or order weight. Shipping can be limited to 1 country and you can add as many as you want.
Packaging needs too correct to avoid breakages. Also this can effect shipping prices due to size and weight.
Once all the above is completed, then it’s time for marketing and getting your store out their for the world to see.
Here are a few stores we have helped get up and running. Sometimes just pointing them too Shopify and other times doing everything for them.
